About Us
Everyone asks us how we got into this business. Well, pretty much how our new customers found us!
One day in late 2002, we were at dinner with a couple of friends, Lynn & Steve, and they offered us a Dirty Martini.
We asked what it was, and they told us it was a Martini with Olive Juice in it. We tried it, and LOVED it!
In fact we loved them so much, we learned how to make them at home. Well, as most of you know, if you make ONLY Dirty Martinis at home, your Olive jar runs out of Juice before it runs out of Olives!!
The search was on for Olive Juice. Back then, NO ONE carried it. There are a few now, but still not many. You generally cannot find it on the shelf at your local grocer.
We learned all about Olive Juice. We found a company that explained to us that when they get their olives from Spain, they are hard as little rocks. They have to be soaked to become soft enough to take the cores out. The 'brine' they are generally soaked in is mostly water, with some salt added. Depending on who you get your olives from, there may be some other traces of other ingredients. But mostly water and salt, which is why most olives have that 'salty taste'. After coring, the filtered 'brine' is put into the jars of olives to keep them moist.
The company we found sold stuffed olives, and olive salad, and many other things, but not the leftover brine that the olives were soaked in! We started buying it by the case for ourselves. By the first of 2003, we built a small website, and quickly found a large following of Dirty Martini drinkers!!
It has steadily grown since then, and in fact we were in the "Playboy Advisor" in the February issue of Playboy, 2009. We found out that a LOT of people really do "Read the Articles" as our sales jumped off the charts from that article!
We are proud of that accomplishment, and will always strive to provide the best products, at the best prices, while giving you, the customer, excellent customer service.
We are also asked if we are in stores. Yes, they are scattered all over the country, but mostly small ones, no major chains, yet....
We do have many people that wholesale (buy in bulk) to either resell, or to supply their bars and restaurants. Basically, the more you buy, the better the discount we can give you.
Thanks for your interest in our products, and we look forward to doing business with you!!
